Our Start
The Bank was started in Taylorsville, NC in 1921, originally known as Taylorsville Building and Loan.
Annual Meeting
The Bank holds its annual meeting on the second Monday of August of each year. Shareholders of the Bank elect the Bank’s Directors on an annual basis. Shareholders get one vote for each $100 on deposit with the Bank, up to 1,000 votes, as well as one vote for each loan they have with the Bank.
Conservative Operation
Taylorsville Savings Bank has had a long history of taking a conservative approach to providing for the financial needs of Alexander County and its residents and neighbors. The bank has never sold a mortgage loan made by the bank, all deposits on hand are from our local community, and because we are a mutual, and not stock, corporation, the value of our bank is not dependent upon the peaks and valleys of the stock market and its outside influences. Therefore, Taylorsville Savings Bank is in a very strong financial position to be able to meet all of your financial needs for many years to come, just as we have been doing since 1921!
